Mini Projects

Jeev Designs

A compilation of small pieces and garments I have created throughout the past few years.

These pieces have taught me all the small details of concept creation, designing, patterning, and garment construction.

Ralph Lauren-Inspired Low-Waist Mini Skirt

Fall 2025, FTM 315: Fashion Product Design

The Fashion Product Design course at the Wilson College of Textiles incorporated simulating a fashion brand throughout the class and designing products that would fit each brand chosen. Out of many groups, my group chose to resemble Ralph Lauren; all the designers created a garment to fit Ralph Lauren's aesthetic.

I chose to create this mini skirt that features classic knife pleats, a low drop waist/yoke, five belt loops, a yoke facing, and a left side seam zipper. The chocolate brown captures an autumn feeling as this skirt was designed for the fall season.

Because of our advanced design skills, our Ralph Lauren group was chosen to be displayed at the Wilson College of Textiles throughout the Spring 2026 semester.

Adobe Illustrator was used to create the technical package drawings.

Custom Distressed Jeans

One of my first alterations clients gave me two pairs of jeans, gray straight and brown straight, and asked me to join them into a wide-leg pair with a street aesthetic.

I inserted panels from the brown jeans into the inseam of the gray jeans and distressed the seam. I underlaid panels from the brown jeans into the outseam of the gray jeans and randomly stitched and distressed, creating a random rugged look. Finally, I attached pockets across the back of the legs from both pairs of jeans to add a cargo element.

Men's Camp Shirt from Upholstery Fabric

Spring 2025, FTM 219: Fashion Product Analysis

The Fashion Product Analysis course at the Wilson College of Textiles teaches the basics of sewing and garment construction.

The final project in this course incorporated creating a men's camp shirt using patterns. This was my first piece of menswear clothing, featuring upcycled upholstery fabric, five buttons down the center front, a standing collar, a front placket, and a back yoke.

Swimwear & Stretchwear

These are pieces I created to wear for fun!
